"...Tail Code: [BH/ZE]: "BH" tail letters were used (in order) on VP-772's PB4Y-2s then to VP-17's PB4Y-2s, then VP-17's P2V-6s and VAHM-10s P2V-6s and P2V-6Ms. This is here it really gets wierd*!! In '57 "ZE" replaced "BH" and was then used on VAHM-10's same P2V-6Ms and then to P2V-5Fs. VAHM-10 was redesignated back to VP-17 with the same -5Fs, then P2V-7s and finally P-3s. * I had a former Maintenance Officer with VAHM-10 tell me that he had all three P2V models ( -6 / -6M / -5F ) on the line at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington at the same time! Most records show that they transferred in groups from one type to the next..." Bob McLaughlin banddmcl1964@msn.com [03JUL2001]
