VP-11 Neptune Association Reunion
September 15 through 17, 2009.

WASHINGTON DC 2009 REUNION

The results of the survey are in and the reunion is set for Freeport, Maine Sept. 15-17th. Reservations my be made starting MARCH 4 as they will have the "VP-11 Neptune Assn." acct. set up by them. Please reference that name for the discount price.

We will be at the Hilton Garden Inn a venue that offers all the features we need. They have guaranteed us an excellent 24% rate reduction for 22 rooms. Our room rate will be $145.00/ room/ day for two with a tax of 7%. All the HGI rooms are considered deluxe accommodations and some suites are available for $50.00/day more. The HGI is situated two blocks from the center of Freepost so it is outside the busy tourist area but shopping is easily within walking distance. The hotel has in-house restaurant, lounge, pool, free parking and complete amenities. The King rooms have some sort of special bed and are available for the same price while they last. When we use up the 22 block rooms we can attempt to negotiate for more if it is not too late in the period. If you want a choice, reserve now, you can cancel up to 72 house before, but please don't reserve if you are in doubt of going. For more hotel info go to freeportdowntown.stayhgi.com.

The committee is in the process of arranging the details of a visit to the Brunswick NAS, and a banquet; and other possible activities may included a lobster feed, an optional cruise, a Portland Wharf visit, or a trip to the Maine Maritime Museum, and of course shopping will be available at your convenience. The Ready Room will open about 1 hour after check-in time on the 15th. The cost for the reunion activates will be provided ASAP by email and the next newsletter. Please get the dates into your planning, make your reservation, get your transportation needs set, and look forward to a great time with your shipmates.

The Committee
