Note NOTICE: "...The National League of POW/MIA Families is searching for photos of the 1,682 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia. Allen L. Blewett was lost on 14 July 1962 in Laos. At the time of his loss, Mr. Blewett was a civilian pilot for B.I. Bird and Sons. His body was not recovered. Mr. Blewett entered the Navy in 1946 as an Aviation Ordananceman. In 1951, his reserve unit was recalled to active duty with VP-871 at NAS Seattle, Washington. There, they underwent intensive training in the Navy's PB4Y long range patrol bombers. Does anyone remember serving with this man? Can anyone provide a photo? Please reference Mr. Blewett in the subject line of any email responses. Thank you..." Contributed by Candace D.
