Dear VP-47 Person,

The following information was developed subsequent to the preparation of the other papers in this mail out:

1. The Hyatt Hotel is filling up fast but we still have 3 rooms for Friday night and Saturday night at the $79 (pius tax) rate. All rooms for Thursday night are taken at this time, but it is possible they might give us a few more rooms at a later date, but I wouldn't count on it. Hyatt is giving us 52 rooms at the special VP-47 rate. Suggest you call the Hyatt and nail down your reservation ASAP. Yes, they will rent you a room for Thursday night at the non VP-47 rate of $159. Call the Hyatt at 1-800-233- 1234. lfthey report there are no rooms at the VP-47 rate, try again, this time calling the hotel directly at 703- 525-1234.

2. Our fall back is the Twin Bridges Marriott, about two short blocks from the Hyatt, So far, they have committed to giving us 10 rooms for Thursday through Saturday night at a rate of $105 (plus tax) per night. If Hyatt is ftill, call the Mamott at 703 524 6400 or 800 327 9789 and say you are with VP-47. These rooms will be held until October 15, 1998. Rooms will be held until 6 pm unless confirmed with a credit card. Over night parking at the hotel is $8.

3. We are adding the Smithsonian Silver Hill Museum to our list of optional activities. This museum contains many very old airplanes as well as some newer ones. It is also where the planes are refurbished before sending them to the Air and Space Museum. There is no cost, but we will have to car pool or take taxis from the Anacostia Metro stop.

4 In my initial bailout I asked for a registration fee of $25 per person to cover the cost of postage, xerox, lapel pin, snacks and libations for the hospitality suite, etc., and most / people have sent in there money. For those of you who did not get the initial notice, I ask^ ^ that you send a check for $25 pp to Rick Davis at 10213 Wendover Dr, Vienna, VA 22181, at your earliest convenience. Monies not used will, of course, be refunded.
