VP-47 Reunion Association
VP-47 Reunion 2000 November 10 through 12, 2000
VP-47 Reunion 2000 was conducted in Pensacola, FL, 10-12 NOV 2000. The 115 attendees all enjoyed the whole get-together and are looking forward to the next reunion. We saw the Blue Angels perform on two successive days, enjoyed touring the world-class National Museum of Naval Aviation (where the only extant P5M-2/SP-5B Marlin seaplane resides), had lunch in the Cubi O-Club Bar at the Museum, and in general qualified and clarified all the tall tales, sea stories, and outright exaggerations that had built up during the past 35 or so years. Art Porzio (e-mail: caporzio@pacbell.net) will be the chairman for the next squadron reunion. Charlie Switzer, Chairman for VP-47 Reunion 2000. Thank you. Best Regards.
