VP-47 REUNION ACTIVITIES

To help us plan to bring you the activities in which you are most interested, we would appreciate if you would indicate which of the items below you would like to have available. Place the number of people beside those items you are interested in attending. This is only to insure that space is available for our group, and no money is required now..

1. _____Navy Football vs. Rutgers in Annapolis on Sat. Nov 7 Details given below for your action if interested.

2. ____Tour of Holocaust Museum. No charge, but availability of tickets is often very limited. We hope to arrange for group access if sufficient interest.

3. ____Tour of Air and Space Museum. No charge, but again we may be able to arrange guided tour if sufficient interest.

4. ____Tour of Capitol. No charge. If sufficient interest we will try to make arrangements for a group tour.

5. ____Tour of National Cathedral. No charge, but if sufficient interest our own Judy Burgess will conduct the tour.

6. ____Go to play "Shear Madness" at the Kennedy Center. Cost about $30/p.

Again if sufficient interest we may be able to get group rates.

NAVY FOOTBALL - A Navy game with Rutgers at Annapolis is scheduled for Nov 7. Tickets are $20.00 for the game (End Zone-$14.00). If interested call Navy Athletic Ticket/Information office at 1-800-874-6289 to order tickets. This game is designated as Veteran's/Church Day.

  • Arlington Cemetery - Start a 10-15 minute free walk through the cemetery from the visitors center to the Kennedy Grave. Can walk elsewhere. A Tourmobile is also available at the visitors center at 0830 and every 20 minutes thereafter - $4.75/person. Includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Arlington House, and other areas.

  • "Ford's Theater -Open 7 days/week. Tours at 0900-1545 (self guided). Park Ranger talk at 15 minutes past each hour. No charge.

  • Kennedy Center - 7 days/week. Tours at 1000-1300. Guided tour lasts one hour. Meet on Level-A across from the gift Shop. No charge.

  • NEWSEUM (Newspaper Museum). Tours Wed-Sunday -1000-1700. No charge. Very near Hotel. Located at 1101 Wilson Blvd. The Hyatt hotel is at 1325 Wilson Blvd.

  • Navy Yard Museum - Metro to Navy Yard Station.
