November 1997 NewsletterJust One Of Many ArticlesPensacola in April '98 !!!Everything is being extremely well organized thanks to Bob Peyton's efforts. The price is right and the hotel is first rate so it should be a good one. The format of the meeting is as follows: Thursday April 16, check--in, Ready Room open at p.m...There is no formal agenda for Thursday you are on your own Friday April 17 Ready Room open all day. Tours and free time til 5:30 pm then cocktail party and 6.30 pm Banquet. Saturday April 18, breakfast 7 am 8:15 am then business meeting. Tour at 9 am Ready Room open all day. Sunday April 19 wrap up and head home- Should you have any questions call Bob at (860) 668-0148 or myself (201) 555- 4431.There are three tours available: Friday April 17 - 1) Tour of beaches and Fort Pickens (9 am - 2 pm). The price of the tour is $21.00 and includes the transportation and guides. Price does not include Lunch ... there are many nice places to eat on the boardwalk. 2) Pensacola Specialty Shops Tour (9 am - 2 pm) A chance to browse at many unique shopping, places ... unusual t many and clothing. Original works by award winning artists, potters, etc. Price is $23.00 and includes Lunch and transport. Saturday April 18 - Tour of Pensacola Naval Air Station and National Museum of Naval Aviation. (8:30 am - 3 pm) In addition to a tour of the base there will be a two hour guided tour of the Air Museum which includes a showing of the movie "Magic of Flight." This is a must see! Cost is $31:00 per person and includes luncheon at the Mustin Beach Officers Club.Cost $60.00 per person for banquet, breakfast and ready room refreshments, etc. plus whatever your tour costs should he paid to Bob Peyton by March 16, 1998.This would be a great meeting, to bring, the kids or grandkids to. They would get a good insight into the Navy and Naval Aviation... should be the trip of a lifetime for them to be there with Dad or Grandad.More details in the January Scuttlebutt.
