It reads: "The design symbolizes the squadron as a terrifying thing to the submarine, capable of overpowering and destroying the undersea craft. The monster symbolizes the tenacity with which the squadron holds to its contacts and attacks, to date every sighting made by the squadron has developed into an attack. It also indicates the strength of the squadron against the submarine." The second part reads: VP=205 - Sea Monster (Body-Yellow outlined in Black), Nazi Sub (Black with black and white insignia), Pitch (Black), Horns (White), Tongue (Red), Eyes (White and Black), Teeth (White) and Claws (Red).
