In VS-37 I was an AN, then a PNSN and when I was discharged I was a PN3. In VP-19 I was a PN3 and a PN2 when I transferred. In VAQ-138 I was a PN1. I went on cruises to: WESTPAC with VS-37 and USS Constellation CV64 in 1979 when the embassy in Iran was taken hostage. Deployments to NSF Diego Garcia 1984-1985 and to NAF Kadena, Okinawa, Japan / NAF Misawa, Japan 1986 with VP-19. WESTPAC with VAQ-138 and USS Nimitz CVN68 in 1992 for Operation Southern Watch. I also served in the U.S. Army in 1974 to 1976 in Frankfurt and Hanau Germany with 3AD HHQ and 23rd Engrs; in the Navy I also served in NSY/NS Mare Island, CA; Naval Hospital Bremerton, SEABASE Port Hueneme as Base Police from 1995 to 1996 and at PSD PSNS Bremerton where I retired from in 1997 as a PN1.
